Could someone explain "twin flames" to me?

I know it's a silly concept, but I swear I met mine if they actually exist....

If i described DH as either a soulmate or twin flame he'd think I was being pretentious, sarcastic, or been at the gin.

It's a newish wanky term for soulmate

Daft expression. Soul mates makes more sense.

Generally it means that you have found someone that your body thinks will help you produce healthy babies.
Therefore you are consumed by lust and able to overlook their flaws.

Soulmate is better. If a twin flame is the other half of your soul that got separated, then that’s sort of creepy and incestuous if that person becomes your sexual partner….

My understanding is that it's not necessarily romantic, and that's the difference with a soul mate.
