do you add a snifter of something in there ? only i hate when summer turns to Autumn and chocolate anything is a comfort.. tried spiced dark rum but ...not that good tbh

Baileys!

I gave up alcohol years ago but it used to be a small shot of baileys or amaretto. These days I like to add a bit of orange zest or some caramel syrup and/or a pinch of sea salt.

I've heard of people adding chilli for a bit of a kick and can imagine it works well but haven't tried it as I'm a wimp when it comes to any form of heat.

I quite like a shot of malibu in hot chocolate on the very rare occasion I fancy either alcohol or hot chocolate.
Amaretto or baileys work well too.

I add Baileys to coffee too.

I’m not a fan of hot chocolate but I imagine most liqueurs work well - cherry brandy, Cointreau, amaretto, coconut, etc.

Kahlua (sp?).

Where I'm from we do cinnamon and chili, or peppermint. Hazelnut is good too.

Three shakes of ground cinnamon plus two of ground nutmeg

Does anyone put anything in coffee in colder months ? trouble with that is unless you're impervious to caffeine you'd have to drink it early in the day i suppose.. know of someone who puts Amarula Cream Liqueur and a spoonful of chocolate in their cup o' joe🤔

how does it taste ?

I make my hot choc with grated Montezuma Black Choc so it is really rich and non sweet, tastes almost alcoholic.
