Make Me A Winner

Have you, or anyone you know, actually ever won this on Absolute radio??

It seems like they aren't calling me on purpose now. I would really like a few thousand now please!

Hi, I enter this competition every day, but so far havn't won anything! Today's prize is £180,000. A lot pf people are answering with "Hello", or not picking up the phone, which is frustrating... The last winner was on Thursday.

Someone called me from a withheld number at 4pm on a day I entered this. I am ashamed to say it embarrassment won as I was in a shop so I answered with a meek ‘hello’ instead of the golden phrase.

You’ll all be pleased to know it wasn’t the radio station.

I had a call when I was waiting for someone to make me a winner. And I said the magic phrase. And it was DS’s school asking about his after school arrangements! Mortifying! Luckily they are a friendly bunch in the office but it took a good few days before I could even look at any of them!

Ah, it was probably not from the radio station, since that call is usually just after 3pm.

Oh yes, there have been a few like that, people entering on the spur of the moment for the first time & winning! Others have been entering for years & never win!

I would very much like to win this today, I mean surely it's not too much to ask.
I would be very enthusiastic when I say make me a winner and be very excited.
Last few winners have sounded pretty miserable.
I have answered phone several times with the phrase & sadly it has never been them, once was the school, once was some scam call centre call & once was the Amazon delivery guy who was lost.
I'll give a mumsnet shout out if today is the day. 👍👍

I’m not the person from your kids school @Itsalloutofwhack but I’ve been the person phoning someone at the time they make these calls and had a very enthusiastic ‘MAKE ME A WINNER’ at the other end of the phone instead of the hello I had been expecting. I didn’t have a clue what they were on about and the person I was calling was absolutely mortified. Still makes me chuckle though.

Quite honestly I think All these Competitions are Rigged! I have spent thousands over the Years but not even a Sniff! If you listen carefully to how the Presenter chats to the Winner it's very clear that they know each other! Propably share the Spoils!!!!!

I’m sorry you are wrong. I have personally congratulated at least 4 of the winners. The reason it sounds as though they knew each other is because they ring just after 3. Hattie then chats to the person for some time and it’s edited so there’s no swearing etc. That’s what we hear around 3.40 - 3.50. 😀

Not sure what you mean. The competition is open to UK residents only.
If you mean there's been no winners that are different nationalitites, click on the link I posted earlier and check out the winners. The photos and names show you the winners are diverse.

Kinda dodgy. Got separate number only for this competition. Never ever used anywhere else. From the time I entered getting scam calls… Data protection authority will have some work to do

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that! I enter every day & I never get any scam calls!
