Private health care cover

Hello, I am looking to just get peoples opinion on health care insurance. I have been going to the GP regarding weight gain, suspected diabetes and no monthly cycle. Few times I have been to see the GP I have been fobbed off and told I should just lose weight.

I have taken out health insurance but I am not very well versed on it. Anyone who uses it perhaps could explain the advantages. I haven't been diagnosed with anything so technically got a cheaper cover but now I don't know if I am covered or not.

It's not through my employer - I have read that it's not worth it if it's private ...... so is that the case or.....?

I had a look into it but a lot seem to exclude menopause treatments and that's the very bloody thing I'd likely want it for in the next few years.

That's shameful. You should be covered if it's not even something you haven't yet started seeing symptoms of. In my paperwork they said things not covered include things that haven't been diagnosed medically but which you think you have or believe to have. That's a grey area because with the age of the internet and information, it's access information before you see the doctor.
