Another Hen Party One

First of all I know it's an invitation not a summons! And I will quite easily turn it down if it spirals out of control.

BUT!

What do you think is a reasonable cost for a weekend Hen Party? It's a long weekend. So I'm going to have to take 1 or 2 days holiday, which I don't mind as it's a very close friend.

I'm assuming it's abroad, although nobody's confirmed this. It's very hard to get any information from the organiser although it is 6 months away so I suppose (to her) there is no rush. Despite the fact I have to arrange childcare, per care and book holidays, as I assume the other do too.

Anyway enough of the moaning, may I ask what you think is a reasonable amount for a Hen Weekend please?

I don't think there is a reasonable amount as it depends on the activities and individual budgets.

I would agree with myself what I'd be prepared to spend and cut my cloth accordingly. So if it was going to be stupidly expensive for me I'd just not go, or go for part of it.

However much you can afford to pay without getting into debt, going without something important or feeling resentful about it.

This is a red flag - do you really want to get involved with what might turn out to be a badly organised event, the kind where folk drop out and others have to pay their share etc. You need great communication to organise events like this.
