Apparently there was a storm last night, could it have been natural? I don't see any sawdust around it.

The photo shows a completely straight saw cut through a thick trunk. Only possible with a machine. No way natural

It’s too clean a cut. In wind the whole tree goes over and you see the roots. The sawdust will have blown away.

The police and relevant people have confirmed it was NOT the wind. It WAS vandalism

Why are the bbc reporting this as a tree which was “felled”. I assumed this was planned by the forestry commission after reading that! Vandals don’t fell trees, they hack them down.
