I had to share this as I'm still so confused! Tristan Tate ranting for approx 2 mins about yesterday's incident in Croydon. A lot of what he said was reasonable, even if he was clearly doing some preemptive arse covering.
Basically:
- This stabbing and loss of emotional control is the opposite of what we promote
- We encourage emotional regulation and stoicism
- A man lashing out when rejected is the opposite of masculinity
And so on. A whole message about keeping your cool, being polite when you're rejected, practising self control etc.
Then the last few seconds the mask completely slips and he says, 'If you killed my 15 year old daughter, I'd kill you and your whole family, your grandma, your baby...'
I can't stop laughing (at him). And I feel terrible about it as it's an horrific incident which the Tates have (of course) jumped on to promote themselves. But ffs, surely you'd edit the clip to stop at the point BEFORE you went against everything you'd literally just preached?!

Honestly, I think anyone who ever says that either Tate 'makes some good points' needs to also understand they'll also say the complete opposite if the camera rolls for long enough.
