Will I receive no pay if there is no payment on my hmrc

So I started a 2nd job last month and tomorrow is payday but I'm concerned that my hmrc hasn't updated and only shows my main employer. Does this mean that I won't get paid ?

Anyone know the answer here?

Until your new employer submits 1st payrun with you on it to HMRC it wont show as how will HMRC know?

Hi - no, you'll still get paid as that will come direct from your new employer. I'd expect HMRC to update after they've received the first payroll submission from your new employer. Keep an eye on your tax code though, it's common for them to be a bit wrong if you're.changing jobs mid way through a tax year.

Sorry just saw its a second job. Depending on earnings, if first job uses all your tax free allowance, then expect 2nd job pay to have tax against all of it x

I'm just worried that I've started on the 30th Aug and I really need the money . I'd have thought it was long enough to be processed 😭

It won’t show on HMRC until after you have had your first pay, at the moment they don’t know you have a second job yet.

It sounds like you will get paid but you should check with your employer rather than HMRC ☺️
