Help me make DD’s 15 bday special (idea for a teenage treasure hunt)

DD is turning 15 tomorrow and though was offered a party had asked if she could have a girlie day in town, with me instead.

She is an absolutely amazing girl, one of 3 DD’s (probably why she would like some 1 on 1 time) and just works so hard at school at home and in her sports/hobbies and she really deserves a special day. Her dad, my husband has also just deployed so we are all feeling a bit sad and would love to spoil her.

I have decided to do a treasure hunt, each clue leading her to her next experience/treat but while I have ideas for the bigger things (hair highlighted, belly button pierced and picking a Pandora bracelet) I need some smaller cheaper suggestions to bulk out the day.

Can anyone think of any smaller ideas that would be fun or nice for a 15 year old. We are going to be restricted to city centre, and though it’s not a huge city has most of high street shops/services/brands etc…

I did wonder if MAC still do the teenage makeovers with you getting the amount of the treatment to spend on products afterwards…is this still a thing?

Also somewhere fun to eat…

(I should also just add that while she has a few things to open in the morning that are very small and her main presents are within her day out and relatives have also contributed money towards it too)

Coffee, ice cream, Lush, a bookshop. Maybe cinema if you have time?

I love this sort of thing.
Starbucks with souvenir mug.
Recreate any pics from when she was younger (if you lived in the same town).
Do you have a Typo or Flying Tiger nearby for stationary or room bits?
Waterstones for a book.
Meet sisters for a movie at the end.
manicure pedicure
somewhere that does mock tails for lunch to feel grown up.
new phone case/head phones
sunglasses

maybe set up a WhatsApp groups and have different people text clues and she sends a pic when she’s completed it and that cues the next person.

Would she enjoy a posh afternoon tea?

Doormatnomore · 28/09/2023 19:42

Sorry for a double post but I’m invested now. we did these for loads of 18ths so sorry if I’m wildly off base.

people could record their clues with a wee message like. Like something about being stuck on the bus and the answer is headphones or because you sparkle and shine and the answer is fairy lights.

other present ideas: hair care products and accessories for the new extensions, fancier water bottle, grown up school bag (I’m not sure what the young people call them but I see girls at school with them), a short term gym membership (round here they do 3 months), classics like jewellery, nail polish, hats and scarfs sets.

ok, I’m done now. It’ll be great. We all remember ours and be a special day.

@Doormatnomore great ideas and definitely in my line of thinking.

@OnAFrolicOfMyOwn I’ve actually just booked a high tea for us, very exciting!!
