I live in Greece, went through floods three weeks ago, we are flooded again tonight, no electricity no water

I posted about what it was like to go through those flags a few weeks ago, I am visually impaired, it has been a rough couple of weeks, and I’m a strong person. We only got clean water back last week, now we have no water again, no electricity, Internet just came back up after hours of being out, very bad lightning, bad rain, and my apartment has flooded yet again…

I know, there’s not much anyone on here can do, except just send good vibes and be there with an ear, if anybody can’t sleep and his reading this, distract me please. Since I have to watch the battery on the phone, I can only come here from time to time, but if somebody can just leave any words of encouragement, or I don’t know… A challenging experience you lived through, if you have lived abroad, and how you got through the other side. I’ve been here through the fires in July, through the floods three weeks ago, and I’m nervous now every time will have a storm.

when this is over, I do need somebody to come in and fix the roof or the ceiling, I’m not sure which but I can’t have it flooding in here every time it rains heavily. I’ve been running to the bathroom to change buckets that are filling up very quickly. And I don’t have enough, it was bad during the last storm, but it’s now the entire ceiling in the bathroom

I really hope you are able to get your roof/ceiling repaired soon.

Ugh I'm so sorry 😞 I really hope you get a run of good luck (and good weather) soon. Greece has just had a terrible time of it recently.

I’m sorry to hear of your troubles and how it will impact you now and in the future. The combination of the cat photo above and your original post has got me wondering about the animals on the vicinity of your home and neighbourhood and how they are affected?

Thank you for the kind messages, we still have no electricity and the river broke its banks again last night… So outside is very bad. I have the radio, and I have been snacking, because there’s not much else to do really

We three kings, a lot of animals died in the flood three weeks ago, the cat that hangs around our building made it through those floods, and a couple of days ago actually, I saw him or her, and for the first time ever, it actually sit up on its hind legs and put its paws up on me. I wanted to pick him up and take him home. I’m an animal lover as well. There is also a stray dog that made it out of the last floods, and he followed me home, twice. Somebody saw him following me, and said all that dog loves you. I don’t know how they can survive such things, and I hope these two made it out of this one as well. We still don’t have electricity and I think we’re in for a long day. The poor school kids, I’m sure some of them are really happy not to have to go back to school for such a long time, but they have been delaying and delaying the start of school, they just started on Monday, with online schooling , and now they have had to stop since we don’t have any electricity.
