Anyone know what these spots are? (Photo included)

My DP noticed these blister-like spots /boils on the back of my neck this morning. I had no idea they were there - they aren't itchy or painful at all.

I woke up with a stomach ache this morning that radiated around to my back but I'm guessing this is unrelated. Other than this, no other symptoms. No other spots that I'm aware of either.

Does anyone have any idea what they are?

Mosquito bites? Sometimes I blister if I get them and they can look pretty similar to these.

I guess this is possible but the lack of itchiness makes me think probably not.

Could it be shingles? Have you been around chicken pox recently?

I was wondering this but a) I haven't knowingly been around the pox b) not itchy and c) all of the images of shingles online look nothing like this.

Staph infection?

RogersOrganismicProcess · 27/09/2023 21:13

I was also going to say molluscum contagiosum.

Monkey pox? Is that still a thing? Sorry, it just looks like the photos I saw in the news when it was doing the rounds.

Shingles only affects one side of the body, it could be chicken pox though.

Molluscum are usually smaller and a bit harder and don't pop so easily
They are basically vesicles (a fluid filled blister).
It could be chicken pox.

They can sometimes be caused by friction - have you had a tight fitting top on recenty?

I don't think it looks like molluscum contagiosum (sounds like a spell in Harry Potter 😂).

It looks most like monkey pox when looking at images but none of the symptoms fit.

No tight clothing, no.

Oh well - I guess I'll keep an eye and if nothing changes mark it down as a mystery.

Thanks for all of your suggestions ☺️
