Best fake flowers

I love real flowers but I like them best in their natural outdoor setting.
I quite fancy a cheery bunch of fake ones though - what would people recommend as a nice set for a (north-facing) window ledge.

Cherry flowers are generally seasonal imo, so get some daffs for the spring, sunflowers for late summer, foliage and berries for winter, roses for summer and so on.
Otherwise just go for a mixed bunch of hothouse type flowers such as you see all year round; roses, spray carnations etc.
