Vinted returns question

I’ve bought something which has a hole in it that wasn’t mentioned in the description (only a couple of £s) which is disappointing.

Do I have to cover the postage to return or will Vinted refund this?

They didn’t refund p&p when I sent something back before when it had a stain, but just want to double check as it’s a lot of money to lose when it keeps happening.

Have you said the item is ‘ok’?

If not, you should raise an issue and explain the problem.

The seller might refund you without returning it. But otherwise I think you might have to return at your cost….it’s in the T&Cs.

Thanks, the seller refunded me without needing to send it back.

I assumed the buyer protection covered for these situations but I’ve seen similar questions and thoughts on the forums.

Vinted's t's&c's state that the buyer has to pay for return postage. Which is rubbish especially when the item isn't as described. In the first instance contact the seller. They may refund you without you returning it or offer to cover the return postage. But they don't have to under Vinteds rules. The buyer protection is pointless in my opinion as true protection wouldn't make you pay postage fees.

I sold something that the buyer is returning and I had to pay the postage fees.
