Is my steam mop broken for good?

I just went to use my steam mop to find that my cleaner (see previous thread) has filled it with floor cleaning fluid . 😬

It now seems to be struggling to reach temperature and lets out puffs of steam here and there rather than continuously.

Is there anything I can do to make it start working properly again??

I've had trouble with steam mops before. It may not be the cleaning fluid as such, apart from potentially clogging the vents. You may have a build up of limescale affecting the heating element and the vents letting out the steam. It stops it heating up and letting steam escape. You can buy products to descale steamers and that worked for me. Worth a try anyway, good luck!

I will take a closer look. It just seems odd that it was working fine then suddenly not and I found the water chamber full of floor cleaning fluid.
