My boss wants a ‘catch up’. In anxious, please tell me I’m being a twat.

Been there about ten weeks.

Supposed to have monthly meetings through the induction period. This will be the second meeting.

Boss is lovely. I don’t think I’m doing anything to raise eyebrows.

I ran out of my citalopram so I’ve been raw-dogging my MH and I have anxiety to go with it.

Please tell me I’m an anxious idiot and this is a perfectly standard meeting. (Even though I know it is).

That sounds standard. Just a slightly delayed second monthly meeting. I am sure it will be fine.

I understand the fear. Once upon a time a therapist asked me, when you panic, how often has reality been bad at all, never mind as bad as you imagine? The answer was of course nearly never. Certainly not often enough for my fear to have any basis in fact.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

It's totally normal, whether you're in your probation period or have been somewhere there 25 years.

From what you've said I wonder if it's on your boss's to do list, but they've been really busy and it's slipped a bit. Now they are trying to catch up.

I'm completely mad without my escitalopram as I have complex PTSD and start having hallucinations which is not great for a medical professional.
So I never go without and neither should you - get some more asap.

I have more now.

DS picked up the prescription yesterday.

I just have this hideous feeling that something hideous is about to happen.
