Feeling very tired physically and mentally after a normal day out?

Over the past few years I have noticed that I feel really exhausted after what used to be a normal day in the past. So If I head into town at say 10am to meet a friend, we shop, have lunch, see an exhibition etc then head home at 6pm I am wiped out. I am physically tired but more so I feel like my brain is just tired, numb foggy.

I went to a neighbours party a few weeks ago, we went about 7pm and stayed till 12 midnight and the next day I felt hungover and ill even though I don't drink at all.

Another example was the other day I went to the Gym (new member) did about a 45 minute cardio workout, home showered then went out to the cinema and was shattered that night and mentally foggy.

A day mostly at home where I do say heavy housework all day and I am on my feet or running out to the local shops doesn't exhaust me in the same way at all.

I am mid 40's, perimenopausal but on HRT with no real symptoms at present and periods are still regular. I have recently just finished a course of Iron tablets so I know that right now my Iron / ferritin levels are ok. I am overweight and was unfit but I joined the gym a month ago and am working on improving my fitness and reducing my weight.

I have been working from home since 2015 as I am self employed and I wonder if that and covid has diminished my capacity for being out and about as much its really been a few years since myself and DH have done much int he way of going out to the city for meals or theatre but we are trying to get back out their a bit more often now.

I don't feel bad day to day, I sleep well most of the time, my diet is pretty healthy its just on those days where I am "out" that my body and brain seem to struggle and feel wiped out by. I am wondering if it is just being exposed to lots of people which is unusual for me or perhaps pollution in city centres? Alternatively it could just be my age?
