Registry Office Wedding - Music

I may be overthinking this but how does the music work for a registry office wedding? We’ve been told to pick 3 songs (one for aisle walk, one for signing registry and then one for leaving). The aisle is so short though will only 20 seconds of the song play? And do you then skip into the “good” bit to start or is that weird?

In terms of the first it can start playing before you make your entrance. Then you can just wait until it finishes.

you absolutely do not have to have anything at all.

if you do want music though I’d look into a live ensemble or pianist. So much nicer
and a good one can adapt what they are playing to your exact timings.

At ours, they started the music before I walked in. But only a bit of it played anyway. And honestly, I couldn't have cared less, and I barely noticed!
