As I said on another thread, the channels are all desperate to blame all this on various rent a gobs so we don't notice that they are the problem for allowing this for decades on their platforms and not caring until women started calling them out for it.

There’s a journalist who’s been working on a big expose the likes of which are akin to Saville, isn’t there? Possibly he worked on exposing Saville too, if memory serves. It was a few months ago I read about it so my memory is sketchy, and I don’t think it’s to do with RB.

There was a thing on the 25th anniversary of The Royle family the other day. Sitcom costs too much to produce now and much of a nations humour doesn't sell easily abroad (though how Mrs Brown's Boys manages to defy that is anyone's guess)

So TV channels are reliant on cheap panel shows and for that you need lots and lots of makeweight comedians. Hence the afterlife of most standups. They're valuable for ratings. Hence dubious star power

Probably because it just ain't funny !

I saw some TV critic on X saying people expecting another celebrity expose will be disappointed. It's just another routine Panorama. No idea if the critic had any inside info, of course.
