Did you feel rough or unwell afterwards?
Due to get mine tomorrow (NHS worker so eligible)

OP posts:
notapizzaeater · 26/09/2023 23:09

Struggled sleeping properly at night for a couple of days as my arms hurt so much (flu in one and Covid the other) but other than that I felt fine

theunbelievabletruth · 26/09/2023 23:24

Had the jab Friday about 5pm . Felt ok in the evening. Saturday felt like I was getting a fluey type virus. Shivers, achey bones, temperature. Spent the afternoon on the sofa. With a hot water bottle.

Right as rain by 10pm. Perfectly fine by Sunday morning.

stardust40 · 26/09/2023 23:27

Had it Saturday. Did feel tired/achy Sunday but nothing too bad

Had both jabs in my left arm on Saturday and apart from a moderately aching arm the next morning, absolutely fine - no other reaction.

saturdaysareforsundaes · 26/09/2023 23:34

Zero side effects beyond a sore arm

SiblingFights · 26/09/2023 23:36

Had it yesterday 5pm. Sore arm tray and today, feel a bit achy and shivery but went to work fine (busy on my feet job) but felt knackered when I got home, starting to feel better now but arm is still sore.

CommaChameleon7 · 26/09/2023 23:42

Both jags in the same arm last Thursday. Felt a bit grotty in the evening shivery & tired and was fine the next day

Fallstar · 26/09/2023 23:43

I had my booster on Friday (Pfizer). Had a sore arm with a raised lump at the injection site on Saturday and Sunday but other than that no side effects at all.

MoorlandWanderer · 26/09/2023 23:45

As PPs, sore arms at jab site but no other symptoms. I now have fecking covid so I’m hoping it’ll be a mild case due to the jab.

ilovesooty · 26/09/2023 23:50

No reaction whatsoever. Had the covid jab and flu jab in different arms last weekend.

Had the Pfizer last week. Was absolutely fine apart from a sore arm.
Feel more rough after the flu jab yesterday.

I have a virus dead mum (no co-morbidities, not old), dead colleagues and a bunch who have had to take early medical retirement because they caught the virus before the vaccine was available. These are people in their 40s and 50s, either still on home oxygen or brain damaged from clots. You are MUCH more likely to be damaged from the virus than the vaccine. Op and many other NHS staff on this thread are taking the vaccine because they saw their entire hospitals fill up with covid patients in that first year pre vaccine, who know young colleagues who died or were permanently injured. They do it to offer some protection to the patients they look after, whether that is being less likely to catch and spread the virus or not be off sick from work.

OP I had covid and flu in the same arm a couple of weeks ago, had aching arm for about a week but otherwise ok. Previously I’ve had a bit of myalgia and shivering but was ok this time. I take paracetamol regularly for a day or two which resolves it.

BettyfromBristol · 27/09/2023 07:14

I had Covid and flu jabs at the same time. No reaction whatsoever, not even a sore arm.

DH had the jabs too, he shivered for about an hour that evening, he was completely better by bedtime.

GrammarTeacher · 27/09/2023 07:18

Had it yesterday. Sore arm. Very tender. Otherwise fine so far.

Oh dear need a new tinfoil hat?

Allthecatseverywhereallatonce · 27/09/2023 07:44

Hi much the same as others, fluey and shivering for a few hours, hot water bottle and rest and much better the next day. I had the flu vaccine at the same time.

ssd · 27/09/2023 08:58

Agree with others, a bit yucky the next day otherwise fine. Sore arm a bit too. Just had paracetamol.

Would a tinfoil hat have saved Lisa Shaw's life? Perhaps she should have worn one.

Pretty much textbook what I had. Took about 12 hours for this reaction to hit. Needed the electric blanket and pain killers after starting with a sore throat but after 12 hours started subsiding and better than next day. No cold/running nose symptoms so knew it was just the jab

OddlyFramed · 27/09/2023 09:32

With regards to the jab and blood clots. I have seen the damage long covid does and assume that the people who got clots would have also have got them from covid. There will be a genetic susceptibility that becomes known. I take aspiring to cover during the vaccines and if I get covid. This way I can manage it and reduce the long covid chance.

Vaccine injury risk is always there, I know someone whose brother died from clots after the Covid jab and the family STILL recommend getting one. They recognise that the risk of disease is far higher than risk from jab.

Bluevelvetsofa · 27/09/2023 09:36

Drinking plenty of water and taking paracetamol before the jab and then later on too, has made a difference to the after effects for me. A slightly sore arm and brief tiredness was it really.

skyeisthelimit · 27/09/2023 09:36

I had both on Saturday, one in each arm.

The covid arm is fine, but the flu arm is still aching and painful to touch or lie on.

No other side effects at all

That is crazy. The risk of dying from Covid is less than flu if you are not elderly. I hope the brother wasn’t young with his whole life ahead of him. Obviously no one on this thread aside from @DocHu has bothered to look at the ONS which shows it’s the vaccinated dying from Covid. It is the worst ‘vaccine’ ever created. It’s not even a vaccine.
