Did you feel rough or unwell afterwards?
Due to get mine tomorrow (NHS worker so eligible)

I had mine yesterday, and deliberately avoided any plans today in case of side effects, as after one of my early ones I suffered badly. I also had the flu one at the same time.

Got nothing but a sore arm this time.

Mine was the new one that's only just been passed for use. Cominotry(?) Omicron.

richteaftw · 27/09/2023 20:37

I had it a couple of weeks ago, same time as the flu jab. I was absolutely fine.

Whereas last year, within an hour of having it I felt like I'd been hit by a bus, every inch of me aches for a couple of days after.

Just checked and it was Comirnaty, made by Pfizer.

Also had Comirnaty (Pfizer) and flu, same arm. It was sore for about 24 hours but no other symptoms. DH was wiped out after the previous jabs but also absolutely fine after this.

Roastbeefandyorkshires · 27/09/2023 21:38

Fine. Just mild pain in arm. No flu like symptoms at all which was a relief.

planeberry · 27/09/2023 21:40

Flu and Covid vaccines on Saturday. Extreme lethargy, headache and general feeling of being off colour on Sunday. Awful diarrhoea on Monday. Right as rain on Tuesday!

GreenTuraco · 01/10/2023 15:45

Ended up getting the jab yesterday in the end, and flu one at the same time. So far I've just got a sore arm and feel a bit wiped out and sleepy, no unwell feeling. Hope it stays like that.

A jab in each arm and a bit sore and aching. I sleep on my side so kept changing sides all night to the less achy side.

nocoolnamesleft · 01/10/2023 16:58

Mild headache and sore arm (covid jab side) for 24 hours.

MoorlandWanderer · 01/10/2023 17:00

Take it easy @GreenTuraco

I got covid 8 days after my jab and it was rubbish but not as rubbish as my partner had it (ill at same time), who hadn’t had the jab. Well worth it 👍

GreenTuraco · 01/10/2023 17:35

Thanks, Moorland

covid and flu one in each arm. Sore arm and neck for a couple of days (but nothing awful, just a bit annoying)

I had my jab at 10am and I was totally exhausted that night and felt a bit hot/fluey. Went to bed early and was totally fine next morning for work etc

Caterina99 · 01/10/2023 17:46

Also DH had them both and had no reaction (that he’d admit anyway), not even a sore arm

spanishviola · 01/10/2023 17:46

I was fine. Slightly sore arm for a couple of days but no more than that.

Findyourneutralspace · 01/10/2023 17:48

I had my Covid and flu jabs yesterday, one in each arm. Both arms are sore but I’m otherwise well.

Mimilamore · 01/10/2023 18:05

Had the flu and Covid jabs on Friday. Flu arm aches a bit in the evening, fine since then...

amusedbush · 02/10/2023 10:23

I posted last week, ahead of my appointment on Saturday morning, so I thought I'd update.

As I was hoping, they were offering Pfizer (last year it was only Moderna so I didn't take it, due to a bad reaction previously). I chose to take both the flu and covid vaccines in my left arm - that was 9am. By the afternoon, my joints were a little stiff but I felt fine otherwise. The injection site still feels a bit bruised but I got off pretty lightly this year!

Robkiss · 27/10/2023 13:34

I asked my doctor lots of questions before having mine. She said it takes 14 days for it to become activated and offer any protection. Asked because I'm flying in in 7 days. So what you felt.. was just covid.
