One-off childcare in London?

Hello!

My son (7 y.o.) and I will be in London next week to visit schools. We live overseas.

It seems he will need to be in Chelsea at the same time that I need to be in Wimbledon.

Does anyone have experience with one-off or temporary nanny/childminder services in London? (especially, in Chelsea).

Ideally, I need to drop him off in Chelsea and then the nanny may need to take him to a school nearby, and possibly pick him up again, while I head across town to Wimbledon.

I see there are websites advertising 'short-notice' childminding. Are these reliable? Is my plan feasible? Are there any other clever solutions I haven't thought of?

Thank you very much.

No experience of doing this but you could perhaps check the Bubble app for someone qualified? If it were me I'd rather the nanny accompanied us both to Wimbledon and watched my son whilst I attended my appointment. Rather than leave him with a total stranger across town.

Thanks very much - I'll check out the app.

I agree it's not ideal to leave him. Am trying to get a sense of how OK I should feel about it.

The problem is that he has a children-only school event at the same time I have a parent-only one. Annoyingly they clash. As we are in the UK specially to visit schools, I'm reluctant to miss either one.
