Swallowed the 'under-lid' of a juice bottle - 111?

Ds has just called. He's at Uni today, 50m away. He's Autistic. He just said he's swallowed the 'underlid' (not the main plastic cap) of a meal deal juice bottle. He's not sure if it was foil or the more rigid plastic film kind. He's been quite sick but not expelled it as yet. Uni 1st aider (fellow student) said call 111. But he's walking talking & ok so I've reassured him it will just pass through his intestines & out tomorrow. But he's rattled, which has rattled me. I am (probably, caveat online medical advice) right with that advice, aren't I?

He could phone 111 but I'm sure they will say the same thing.

Honestly I would wait for it to pass through, it's likely to be a thick card material which will be destroyed by stomach acids, unless he has vomiting for a prolonged period I cant understand what a medical professional can do so soon.

If he's not choking and he doesn't feel like it's stuck anywhere, I'd leave it a little while and see how he gets on.

If it's making him vomit he needs to get to A&E because it's causing a blockage or some sort.

If he is making himself sick (you didn't say) then he needs to stop and this is extremely dangerous as it could get stuck on the way up.

He has vomited (not on purpose) but stopped now (probably gag reflex).

He's gone into to a lecture so at least he's not alone if he suddenly feels bad.
