Suitcase I used has a musty smell - will all my stuff be ruined? Please help

Stressful, upsetting task going through my mum's stuff who died earlier this year. I live abroad and wanted to take stuff back with me on this trip but didn't have enough space in the cases I brought so used a sturdy canvas case I found in the attic.

The attic is damp with mould in corners but the bag looked ok, we gave it a wipe with a damp cloth and the inside looked fine.

Now we're home and the bag REEKS with a weird musty smell that surely must be something to do with the mould? We have taken the stuff out but it was in there for 24 hours (flight has a connection) so will the clothes develop mould now as well?

I don't know enough about how mould spread and it is really stressing me out - these are some lovely clothes belonging to my beloved mum and I'm scared they will be ruined. Things like a mohair jumper that can't be machine washed though I will dry clean it for example.

There were some books in there too - will they harbour the mould?

Our house is very dry with no mould, does that mean it can't spread into our walls here?

Sorry for essay I'm just stressed out and upset by it.
