I am going to see the GP soon but i thought i'd just make a thread on here as someone might be in the know and have had/seen similar

37yo male.. generally healthy, i go to to the gym regular. I used to binge drink a lot of but i stopped a few months ago. I still have a bit of a belly that's going down.

Sweating - It feels like a run hotter than other people.. i can survive wearing a t-shirt when other people need a jumper.. I sweat from a brisk walk and if im wearing a coat..

Frequent Urination - Not a big deal now but when i used to drink pints i'd always be going the loo to empty my bladder, more so than other people. It was noticed.

I don't think i have anything serious or cancer.. i've had these symptoms from about 2017 and ive just been living normall since then.

Diabetes

Well, I am not a medical doctor so you shouldn't take anything I say seriously. Don't freak yourself out by speculating about what your problem might be. At the same time, most GPs are so overwhelmed right now that it makes sense to keep note of what your problems are and to consider possibilities.

I'd make a diary entry every day until you see the GP about the details of your symptoms. It'll help the GP. For example, is there a particular time of day that you have to urinate more often? Do you notice certain problems after you eat certain things?

I'm wondering if diabetes should be on your list of possibilities. Type 2 diabetes is a common problem for overweight people. You would have been getting a lot of sugar from the beer. And frequent urination is one sign. Ask the doctor to check. In the meantime, try an experiment. Cut sugar out of your diet (careful--it lurks in unexpected places so check ingredients lists on your food) and take note of whether you feel different.

Remember though, that I have no idea what I'm talking about. Only suggesting it because I noticed I was urinating far more often than other people and I was also overweight. I have been eating little sugar and dieting for 18 months and no longer have the problem. Good luck.

So the frequent urination has stopped? Well the more you drank, the more you would have needed to go……

i avoid sugar like the plague and all processed food.. I eat a lot of protein but I've only been doing this for 1 year.. the symptoms have been a few years.

every 2 hours i'll have a big cup of tea (no sugar) and half an hour later i'll need to pi*ss some of it out already.

I’m the same, tea is a diuretic.

If you are worried, I’d speak to your GP and they can run tests if they are concerned.
