Contraception choice if you’re late 40’s

If you’re late 40’s/early 50’s can I ask if you’re using contraception and if so what?

Im 49, had my IUD removed and wondering if I need to use another contraception and if so which one. I know pregnancy is very unlikely but I’m guessing there’s still a tiny possibility.

I’d have the mirena coil as you can use it for HRT if you want to

I'm on the mini pill (as well as HRT) as I didn't want a coil.

Mirena coil for me too. It's great - contraception and HRT in one.

Why didn't you get your IUD replaced? Were you having issues with it?

Options are copper IUD, mirena IUS, implant, depo injection, mini pill. Anything basically that isn't a combined contraceptive (ie combined pill, ring, patch)
