Hair colouring and mixing colours?

I want to do an all over colour and add in highlights both I am comfortable doing at home but I’ve never done them at the same time.

Whats the best way to do it?

1. all over colour wash/ dry then do the highlights wash / dry
2. same time as all over colour add highlight colour on top (I was unsure if the highlight colour would take)
3. all over colour wait a few days to a week then do the highlights

any advise from anyone who has done the same?

Honestly if you lack experience I’d say 1 or 3.
2 will not work/you won’t have the technique. 3 is better for the health of your hair but you might not get the lift you expect with your highlights.

@Starbeeees i think your right it will be super harder to do 2 so 3 might be the best route as I will get bored and probably do a poor job if I did 1
