Sociopath

I wonder how does someone heal after being in a relationship with a sociopath? I was with him for 6years for him before realising he is this crazy person.

Does anyone have stories and how do they heal?

I think sociopath is a weird label, what did they actually do?

I was with someone who ticked all of the symptoms of being a covert narcissist tbh. I do dislike all of this putting people in random boxes because of Internet bollocks, but I get it, if the cap fits and they are useful descriptors.

The only thing that helped was time and perspective, I went back for a double dip quite a few times, but each time I saw more of reality and less of the bollocks.

Yes, and even if they're not a true sociopath/narcissist etc, there's plenty of info online about how to deal with the behaviours which people can find helpful.

Time and processing helps. Counselling can help. Writing in a journal can help you reflect. Do you still have to deal with him i.e. if you have children/entangled finances?

I was with a narcissist for 20 years, definitely a family of , but one of the nephews, was definitely a sociopath, terrified me, even before he was a year old, his is sister is a family narcissist, he is another level.

Yes we have kids ans he's been telling lies about us behind our backs. His family are throwing abuse at me, cause I called him on his shit. I have two boys, twins, and I am practically rasing them up on my own without any help
