If you were younger.. Halloween

I wasn’t invited to parties as a teen. My “friends” would actually have parties and not invite me. One thing I’ve always been upset I missed out on is Halloween parties as I love getting dressed up. BUT this year I’m healing my inner teen and celebrating Halloween with my partner and friends and I get to wear a costume!

So, if you were younger and going to a Halloween party - what are you choosing for your costume?

Oh, and happy spooky season! 🎃

For assorted reasons I have never ever dressed up for Halloween
I want to be Wonder Woman!

Fuck your friends. I've been Parker Crane for 2 consecutive years, this year I'm a Medieval courtesan. My husband is a wolf (again). We're mid 30's.

I'be always wanted one of those costumes where you are in or on something else. Like on a horse, or your head is in a cauldron or whatever. A visual joke.

And also fuck your friends.

My teen daughter LOVES Halloween and we go all out with decorations like those crazy US families 😂🧙‍♀️🎃👻🕷️🕸️

She wants to dress up as Ghostface from Scream

Sounds great. I have never been to a Halloween party. Wasn't a thing when I was young.

Back in the 70s a friends parents would have a party. It consisted of apple bobbing in a Tupperware dish on the table mostly and carved turnips that smelled amazing as they burned I always thought. Costumes were black bin bags, broom from the local ‘everything’ shop that mum would then use until the following year, and plastic witch masks.
it wasn’t the fun it is now in the 1970s, but in my midlands town it was certainly very much a thing.

I do miss those kids Halloween parties with the apples! So much fun.

Im in the beginning stages of my late 20s so feel I could get away with a bit of a risqué costume. I’m possibly thinking Carrie!

Only halloween parties I ever went to was with brownies. Wearing a black bin liner, plastic mask and witches hat. I'm completely bah humbug about it now.

NeedTheSeaside · 25/09/2023 03:57

Witch. A more risqué outfit & lots of witchy make up, if I went to one now, it would be a much less risqué output & barely any makeup would be required!!

Sexy zombie nurse torn white fishnets, revealing nurse costume zombie makeup job done :)

Only Halloween parties I went to were in the 90s, in my Goth years with the other thirtysomething Goths. We didn’t dress any differently from our usual! 😆

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 25/09/2023 07:26

I'm in my 50s. A friend a bit older than me always has a Halloween party. Last time I went as a spider! - Black t shirt and leggings, black boots, extra legs made of tights.
