Ideas for single mum birthday present

Hi everyone,

I've got a fairly new Mum friend and it's her birthday next week. She is a single Mum to a beautiful 11 month old girl and on UC. Early 30s.

She is a really generous lovely person so I'd love to get her something that she wouldn't be able to afford for herself but as I don't know her that well I am really struggling for ideas. I'm absolutely awful at ever thinking of good gift ideas anyway and she is the kind of person that goes all out for people so I really want to make her feel special on her birthday as she is already worrying it's going to be rubbish and she'll be lonely. We are going out for lunch with her daughter but her family are a bit flakey so not sure if she will have many other plans.

I know this is a "how long is a piece of string" type question as everyone likes different things, but any suggestions might jog my sleep deprived brain of something she's said in the past! She said she'd like a clothes steamer but that does seem a bit rubbish!! 🤣 any recommendations though would be appreciated.

Budget is around £30.

Thank you! Xx

Lunch out somewhere she can bring DD if she’s on UC. Or lovely bath stuff

Oh yes, she does love a bath. Didn't even think of that, thanks! Have ordered some whipped soap 😀

Can you find/pay for a babysitter so she can have some free time?

Honestly if she's said she'd like a clothes steamer and wouldn't otherwise stretch to getting one then I'd get her that, and a few 'fun' bits - bath stuff, chocolates, a lunch out.

It's so nice when people remember something you've said you want and is often very much appreciated whether it's a 'fun' item or not.
