Not counting jars of jam, pickle etc. Today I was looking for applesauce on the top shelf & found an unopened carton of double cream dated 18th June!

I personally wish they would put an expiry YEAR on freezable items because I found a couple of Waitrose ready meals labelled use by 12th July when I was cleaning out my freezer last week. The problem is I don't know if it's July 2023, 2022 or 2021.

I have an unopened vacpak piece of chees that I bought when we moved in - 18 months ago. Fridge is cleaned but it’s still there in the shelf looking accusingly at me. Have taken to hiding it with the mice smoked cheese.
