Can you freeze cream sauce?

Just that really. I made a pasta sauce yesterday - onions, mushrooms, wine, double cream-and we ended up not eating it. Can I freeze it?

I have many times. When you defrost it if It appears "split" just beat with a spoon, and add a teaspoon of cornflour if beating doesn't fix it.

Sorry to hijack your post, but can you freeze full fat creme fraiche?

I don't defrost sauce I cook it low and slow it doesn't split. It's only cheese sauce I freeze so I'm not sure about other sauces.
