What's happening in your house today?

It's 7am in a Saturday and we are all up watching the F1 qualifying.

Eldest and I are both under the weather so a chilled day planned.

Chilled one here too. Might pop into town, and need to clear the garden up. I'm feeling autumnal, so maybe stew for dinner

I have just switched on the fan heater in the bathroom to try drying out the wall behind the shower and under the built-in units. Not very wet but certainly not dry.
Not using the shower, so a strip wash. Ho hum!
Meeting a friend or is it a date - later.

Everyone miraculously still asleep me (woke at 6am). Eldest DD has dance class this morning, then hubby and I getting our flu and covid vaccines at the hospital around lunchtime. Popping to a friend for tea and cake on way back so our kids can all have a play and we can catch up. Then hopefully a little walk with the kids before getting cosy in front of strictly!

Just sorted the washing into 3 loads trying to get done before we leave for a long walk round Macc forest. Will have picnic when out then home in time for a kids party.

Got a weekend on my own, dh left very early this morning to travel to Northern Ireland as his brother who lives in Canada is here for the week and they've not seen each other in 6 years. So it's me and dd2 here for the weekend. Got a friend coming for takeout and wine later!

All got a bit complicated as I found out yesterday that I probably have breast cancer and really could have done with dh being around this weekend while I process mammograms and biopsies and the like. I know I'm probably going to be fine but I'm sure folks will appreciate it's not that easy mentally!

I am in the process of moving to Spain so I am contemplating the mountain of chaos that is my house before the packers come in and wondering if I can hide under a bush for the next week and hire someone else to do my life.

Chilled one here.

I was on the 5.30am swim training Rita today so after delivering swimmers I've come home and MNed.

I have flu jab in a bit and ds will be delivered home!

So planning on a quiet day of catch up TV and will food shop and do washing and batch cook slowly over the weekend!

Just heading home with Ddog from his walk. I’ll go to the gym in a bit while DD has a lie in. Then we’re going to get a birthday present for her friend, who we’re going to see tonight for the first time in about 9 months (and the rest of friend’s family).

hopefully I’ll persuade them to put 🇮🇪 v 🇿🇦 on the box!

Breckfast out this morning, pick a few things up the toddler needs (always something 🤣) then we will go see some family and hopefully home for a relaxed bedtime.

Saturday without parkrun as I'm recovering from a calf strain. Waiting in for a delivery this morning, contemplating a pile of ironing and looking forward to Strictly this evening. Some home-made soup needs eating up this lunchtime.

Here, I’m still in bed and want to finish my novel.

Was up for 2hours in the night with DD who has tonsillitis again. So she can’t sing and won’t be at music school all day.
DH and I are going to walk the dogs before one of us tackles Year7 homework with DS (who has ADHD, it’s all a bit of an ordeal). Then DS and I are off to the gym for his junior induction.

I’ll work this afternoon before making a toad in the hole and snuggling down for Strictly with DD. DS and DH plan to watch the tedious space epic Dune, so I’ll avoid that room.

It's 8.00 am just woke up. No one else awake DH and DS (18).
I'm about to go and make tea. We did have a social gathering scheduled but that's been cancelled but instead I have to do some work to finish a project with work.

At some point the elderly dogs need a walk and a bath. Plus I've got to mop the floors.

We were meant to be meeting SIL and her DH for lunch. I has a headache yesterday and a sore throat in night. Have done three covid tests, only one positive, but can't risk seeing SIL's DH as he's clinically vulnerable and not been great recently.

It's a bits and bobs day here-starting with a long dog walk then pottering around changing the bedding, hanging a new blind and quick hoover and tidy in readiness for friends coming round to supper later-food was prepped yesterday.

This won't take all day so hopefully will have to time to read my book this afternoon.

The DC have swimming lessons this morning, their first at a new swim school, so we'll have to be up and out fairly soon. When we get back they'll have baths and hair washes etc.

After lunch we're going to the library, maybe a play in the park in town and then pop to the shops. DD is going to a birthday party tomorrow so she wants to look for a new top or dress.

Exeat weekekd so no school for DD. I got up early to do horse + dog so now on 2nd cup of coffee and will then prep a fry up for her when she finally wakes up. Then going to get her eyebrows done as a treat for getting through the first few weeks of secondary before taking her to buy a hockey stick and then to her riding lesson.
Rest of the day will be general housework then back up to horse before ordering a takeaway and suggling on sida with DD + dog, wood burner on and watching crap films.

Morning all! I’m about to go and make a cup of tea. Then will bring it back to bed and read or Mumsnet for a bit. Saturdays are a washing day usually so I’ll put a load on, go to the gym for a class I’ve booked then hang it out when I get back.
might make a cake this afternoon,
I need to sort out the garden ready for the autumn,
will watch the f1 highlights later with ds’s and strictly by myself after dinner.
Dinner will be chicken and chorizo ragu with rice for the boys but with veg for me as I’m low carbing.
