Does anyone remember the Walkers crisps competition?

I think it was back in 2009-2010 and there was another competition soon after to do with the World Cup at the time?

Totally random, but I’m just after eating a bag of Walkers crisps (albeit salt and vinegar!) and it just reminded me of the time they released all those random flavours that people had to vote on and the person Behind the winning flavour won money.

I remember the Builder’s breakfast flavour - oh my word, they were delicious! I really wish they would bring them back.

I’m not sure if they do this every Christmas or not, but they also once did Turkey and stuffing flavoured and pigs in blanket flavoured crisps and they too were amazing.

I do wish they’d bring back builders breakfast. They were lovely!

I vaguely recall a hedgehog flavour. No idea if it was Walkers though.

Oi @EineReiseDurchDieZeit that was only the nineties, I was a wee kid, that is most certainly not old! (I found a fiver, my friend had either a ten or twenty).

Yeah some of those novelty flavours were bogging.

Does anyone else remember hedgehog crisps? My mum used to put them in our pack up sometimes because she thought they were healthy. I have no idea why?

(They weren't actually made of hedgehogs.)

They did a cheeseburger flavour and it was amazing! You could taste the gerkins and everything. My local shop had them on sale after the promotion for like 5p or something and I bought them all!

Does anyone else remember when they changed the names of their crisp flavours to football player names? So there was cheese and Owen, salt and Lineker, and Ronaldo salted?
I swear every person I've asked in real life doesn't remember this, and I feel like I've lived in an alternate universe or something 😵‍💫

I was gutted I didn't win.

Does anyone remember the Looney tunes walkers from the very early 90's. They'd put a rogue caramel flavour crisp in.

They did the fiver in the packet thing between 2014 and 2017, not sure when but I remember it during my first part time job I would get lunch from greggs before going in. I think it was advertised as winning back the cost of your lunch

I remember this competition like yesterday and one of the reasons was because they use my suggested flavour ‘Jamaican Jerk Chicken’ and I never got any acknowledgment that I won but I have my entry proof and everything :D

I remember they renamed the crisps after footballers - there was Salt & Linekar, Cheese & Owen....

As a child I wrote in to suggest Ready Semen (after David Semen). My Mum was horrified & I was amazed they didn't roll that out Confused

They had one called 'do us a flavour' and I made one for fish and chips. They picked it but from someone else sadly. I loved those. They were not as strong as scampi fries but really moreish!
I think there was a cheese toastie one, and the English breakfast!
