No hot water!

Posting to see if anyone has had similar and has any advice. Bit of a long shot I know, but worth a try.

I have a relatively new combi boiler, fitted last Dec so not even a year old. Realised this evening I have no hot water - no water coming out of the hot tap at all. It was fine this morning when we all had showers, so something has obviously happened today. I have checked the water pressure on the boiler and it is fine. Also checked the central heating and it is working. No errror codes on the boiler. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? Hoping there is a setting or something I can check and maybe adjust to fix it.

I’m going to contact the plumbers who installed it tomorrow, but typically it’s Friday night so probably looking at a weekend without hot water 😱

Check your warranty first. Ring manufacturer Smile

Streamorwatchlive · 22/09/2023 22:37

If it’s new it should have an error code that tells you want the problem is

Thanks @Alidec45, it has a 7 year warranty - stupid question but should I contact manufacturer before I contact the plumbers that installed it?

@Streamorwatchlive the display on the boiler has not changed, no error code showing.

Reset it at the mains. Just turn it off, leave a few minutes and then turn it on again

If it’s a combi boiler water would come out even if it’s cold. If there’s literally no water that suggests a different issue.

contact plumbers and manufacturers and see who can get there first

When we had this the ball joint in the tank that lives in the loft was broken x

Sorry for late reply. I'd contact the installer first but remind them of the warranty when calling. If they can't get out as quick as you want ring manufacturer asap. Hope u get sorted 🙂
