We never go anywhere at half term so this year we decided we would do.
We went abroad during the summer and have probably left it abit late to go that far this October.
So somewhere in this country..I know the weather will be mostly crap but that's ok we can find indoor things to do and myself and partner enjoy a nice meal out at night.
Going with my 9yr old son.
We have done in the past..Edinburgh, Cardiff,Scarborough,Norfolk and Northumberland.
We looked at London but was too expensive to stay.

Oxford or Cambridge?

We went to the Isle of Wight last October half term and loved it. We're going back again this year.

We went to NI last October half term. Couple of days in Belfast and a few in Portrush. Had a fab time.

Liverpool. Loads of museums/activities and good places to eat.

We've done Bath a few times over Christmas and its lovely and relatively large amount of things to do if its raining. We had car and would go to Longleat one day, part safari and house, or there's Cotswold Wildlife Park, then there was trampoline park in Bristol, there was ice skating and glow in dark golf in Bath though not sure if those are on yet. Bath itself is lovely. I think Stonehenge was also driveable. We liked Sally Lunn's in the evening.

If you are willing to travel to Scotland Glasgow has loads of museums and great restaurants. Crieff Hydro is fantastic for kids too.

As much as we try - you can't beat Norfolk.
