Sertraline making me feel horrendously ill

I was fine on 25mg but I was told to up to 50mg on Saturday.

Since then I’ve had horrendous nightmares, flashbacks, nausea, twitching, I’ve started a period (I have a coil) and I’m constantly very anxious.

I’m already on mirtazapine and regular diazepam - have been told to increase my diazepam to 6mg a day and decrease mirtazapine.

waiting on CMHT ringing me to try and get things sorted but I don’t know what to do meantime, I literally can’t get out of bed this morning.

CPN did say she wasn’t happy about me being on two anti depressants but then said psychiatrist is on leave, she won’t see him for another couple of weeks, and my GP just shrugged and said go back down to 25 if you want.

Is there a smaller dose so you could do 30/35mg instead? Doubling it seems like a big jump!

Go back to what you were on and ask for a medication review. Make sure you drink plenty and rest today.

I had panic attacks every day for a week when I started on setraline, but now I would say its the best thing I've done.

Thank you, I’ll look up MH board yeah. I’m having nightmares of things that happened a couple of years ago, flashbacks during the day and I’m finding I’m confused about what’s happened when almost. And I keep getting funny feelings that I’m trying to remember something but can’t figure out what I’m trying to remember. Very strange feeling. CMHT rang earlier and said to reduce the dose down to 25mg again and we could consider slowly increasing. I ended up sobbing and sobbing earlier at stuff that happened ages ago. Last week I felt much better so it’s strange that today I would feel so weird.
