Hi everyone. I am looking for some sort of advice or reassurance or to even set my mind at ease! Last week on Tuesday my period was due but Monday night i had the tiniest bit of spotting and it stopped and then on Thursday we found out i was pregnant, we were super excited and i was only around 4 weeks along.
Tuesday morning this week i started spotting/bleeding that lasted Tuesday and Wednesday but it was super light and would only be noticeable when i wiped and only a few drops went onto the pad. It was a dark brown colour the whole time. I took another test on Wednesday during the day and that now said negative and took another two including a digital on Thursday and both also said negative including one this morning.
i didnt experience any clots, cramps or anything at all and midwife has advised to wait another week to take another test to see if this will be positive or negative. No one has confirmed or denied that this might of been a chemical pregnancy and i dont know what to think or feel anymore as it is all so confusing.
has anyone else ever experienced this before?

I had the same happen and sadly for me it didn't continue into a pregnancy.

I'm hesitant in posting as I obviously don't know you or your situation, but I can tell you that this happened to me in November and by July I was pregnant with DC.

The same actually happened to my BFF as we were trying around the same time. She had a missed or chemical pregnancy in Oct and was pregnant with DC by Dec.

So even if this time is not the time - there are other chances.

I also had 6 miscarriages apart from this so I do fully understand any heartache and uncertainty you are feeling.

But this is a sample of 2, perhaps you were too early yet and things can still be ok.

I also did have quite heavy bleeding very early on in my pregnancy with DC and they were up at 7am playing the piano loudly.

Wishing you peace OP

I have also had the same, and it didn’t end well.

It sounds very much like a chemical pregnancy. I had a positive test then negatives. My brown spotting slowly to turned into a full period like bleed over a week or so, no pain or clots. I’m sorry your going through this OP but would prepare yourself for the worst x

Thank you! One minute i prepare myself for the worst, then the next i have some sort of hope but i wish at least the midwifes could say that chances are i lost it.
like i said my bleeding wasnt even proper bleeding more like only when i wiped and all of that has now stopped.
if this was a chemical hopefully we will be lucky next time, its just heartbraking! X
