There is a NATO flight and Royal Air Force Canada flight circling off east coast between Edinburgh and down to Newcastle plus some "cougar" planes in vicinity - any ideas?!

Probably some sort of military exercise.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 21/09/2023 23:07

Yes there were 2 euro fighters from Elgin and 3 dassault falcons from teeside earlier. Some kind of exercise?

Scautish · 21/09/2023 23:08

There’s also a USAF flight.

Training exercises?

Just an exercise!

I live quite near Lossiemouth and there’s been a helicopter flying over for the last few days but more so today and it hasn’t appeared on FlightRadar, but that’s quite common.

That NATO one was circling Scotland a few weeks ago! I wonder if they get dizzy 🤣

There's been a Typhoon or two in and out of Coningsby in Lincolnshire, been flying about East Anglia and the Wash for some sightseeing. Mind you, they often do that.

ADSB often shows more of the military planes than FlightRadar does. It’s looking interesting at the moment.
