Kippers in brine - where on earth can you buy them?!?

Just that really.

Haven't bought in ages but want to stock up. Love kippers in brine but can only spot them in tomato juice or sunflower oil 😫

Any ideas where these can be found?

Thanks

I have only ever bought fresh kippers. I didn't know you could buy them in brine.

That's mackerel.

Looks like John West has stopped doing them but it might be worth a twitter or fb to ask if it's a temporary stop. Something I had regularly was stopped for four months, turned out they were waiting for new packaging. Idk if it was a sourcing or manufacturing problem but it was a nerve wracking time 😬

So it is 😂 I did type kippers, no idea why they subbed for mackerel. It had been a long day.

That is a good shout. I am going to contact them. Thanks.

The thing is that it must cost more to manufacture them in tomato sauce or sunflower oil.

Response from John West - kippers in brine have been discontinued for now.
