Company to scan old photos

I have my oh old family photos. I was going to scan them all but they keep deleting, making an extra random copy or the size is throwing it out. So I was thinking about paying a company to do it but wanted recommendations of someone that wouldn’t lose them all which I’m a bit terrified of!

I would seriously try to persevere and continue to learn how to do it yourself (via YouTube videos etc.) Especially if there are a lot of them and they are precious to you.

Do you still have the original negatives? That's the one reason I would consider using an outside company as the equipment to scan negatives can be very expensive, and the results of doing that can be much better than scanning prints.
