I'll have to caveat this by saying I am very old, but I was thinking this morning as I was making apple purée about utensils that were common when I was a child but seem to have vanished. I haven't seen an apple corer in ages! And I don't have a potato masher or ricer any more-I have an attachment for my stick blender that does the job so much better and in half the time. Any others?
