What do you keep heating set at now its getting colder?

do you keep it set at a certain temp so house stays warm even when your not in it or do you turn it off and heat back up once home

i tended to do the this last winter and felt it cost more to heat the whole house again
so thinking it will be more cost effective to just set it

I turn it on and off. Always have done. I also have it off all night.

althoigh I don’t think it’s cold enough yet for the heating.

I usually set it to the lowest I'm happy with house to be when I'm out or overnight then turn it up when I'm home.

Usually that's about 15C as lowest in mid winter.

We turn it on and off. Heating is timed for half an hour in the morning at present though. Definitely been cold enough for heating in Scotland. Although yesterday was 18c, two days before it was 5c when we woke up.
