What do you put/did you get in Christmas stockings?

Yes I know it’s early but I bought one or two bits for my DCs stocking today from a cute shop we found and I was thinking about being a child and how we always got a roll of sellotape, a new toothbrush and a bag of chocolate coins as well as some other bits, every year.

What did you get in yours? What do you put in your DC’s?

I didn't get stockings as a kid. But for my kids, I always include a chocolate orange, some new stationary, perfume/bath item (last year, I got them each a rainbow bath bomb). My eldest I got a mario usb for his computer and any other random bits.

Contents of a selection box, fruit shoot and the little "impulse buy" items you find at shops. When they were younger it consisted of yo-yos, small kaleidoscopes, tamagotchis/keyring type games you can find in the pressie aisles of supermarkets, dvds, stationery.

Now they're teens it consists of the aforementioned sweets and things like money, videogames, chewing gum, body sprays, vanity mirrors/bodysprays...and maybe still a yo-yo coz everyone loves a yo-yo?!

Primark/ The Works etc is usually a good shout. I go in...splurge £15 on tat and jobs done.

Any small presents that'll fit in, a tangerine and a chocolate santa sticking out the top. I do the same now although for dd I have bought a couple of those blind bag toys just to fill up the space before.

We always got a shiny red apple (day to day apples were golden delicious so this was a special Christmas apple!), an orange, some coins, some chocolate, a tube of smarties or similar and other wee silly things.

My kids get a tube of smarties or similar, a tin of deodorant, a pair of Christmas socks, some chocolate coins or other little sweets, a chocolate Santa, a silly wee toy from the pound shop and a gift card for Greggs. (When they were smaller they got a comic instead of Greggs.)

Chocolate orange, chocolate coins, a £5 Greggs voucher a small toy like slime/bouncy ball/ blizzard bubbles and shower gel or bubble bath.
