The National at Alexander palace next week?

I've see them twice but I love them and the venue and I just feel that you need to take the opportunity. Tickets are £50.

However, I would be going only my own and I am also seeing New order on Friday at the 02...

Do I need to calm down a bit? Will be my 9th or 10th gig this year.....

If you can afford it, and you want to go, then go, and enjoy.

StColumbofNavron · 20/09/2023 08:55

I agree. If you want to and can, go.

Don’t calm it down! Hobbies and passions only need reigning in if they’re adversely affecting yourself or your family - this is on average something you’re doing once a month. Crack on and enjoy it.

OP, my DH is going! He likes the National so much he is going on his own to the far side of London.
He'd normally only go with friends but had to venture on his own to a gig a few months ago and had a good time.
Just go for it!

I'm going to see them at Leeds Arena on Saturday and can't wait!

It will be my 8th gig this year and we have tickets for another 3 and are undecided about a couple of others. We also went to two festivals. I have no plans to calm down and don't think you should either!

I'm booking it!!! Thanks everyone! I'm going by myself and I feel quite empowered 😁 you can park at ally pally so I fell better about that.

Live music is my hobby. I don't smoke, drink (very often) and I don't belong to a club or have any subscriptions - this is how I justify it 😁. @BigMamaFratellijavw have an amazing time @MaitreKarlsson tell your hubby to enjoy it!
