Hi has anyone had one done ? My letting agent has requested one.
No idea where/ if we have a water tank.
Is there an increase in legionella recently?

I've had one done. It only takes a few minutes. They check your boiler water temperature is set correctly and a couple of other things. It was quite useful.

Yes. They told me once every few months to soak the shower head in diluted bleach.

I'd definitely get that risk assessment done for your rental property. It's like playing landlord roulette otherwise – you never know what lurks in the pipes!

Legionella can be a real health hazard, and avoiding a potential lawsuit is a no-brainer. I found this website https://cleanairuk.co.uk/legionella-log-book/ that has some helpful info on legionella control.

Maybe some of the other mums on here have experience with landlords and legionella risks? It would be good to hear their war stories (and hopefully some tips too!) I'd also be interested in knowing if anyone has recommendations for qualified legionella assessors – finding a reliable one can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack sometimes!

I believe landlords in England have a duty to check the hot water is hot and the cold water is cold. That may be all they do.
