If you switched from iPhone to something else, what did you go for?

My contract is up and I’m debating switching to a different brand of phone for a better deal, but I’m had an iPhone for ages and am clueless as to what to go for instead!
just wondered if you made the switch, what you went for and if you regret it?

Hiya, I'm actually thinking of going back to an iPhone when my contract ends as I have a Samsung Z Flip 3 at the moment, and really regret getting this one. I had a Samsung Galaxy S10+ before and loved it, but couldn't afford an iPhone, hence why I bought the Flip 3.

I think the build quality and software is better with an iPhone, and I was looking at some in the Apple Store yesterday and being sorely tempted! 🥺😅🤣🙄

But, I will say that I love the customisation that comes with an Android phone, and Samsung version of Android is pretty smooth.

Having said all of this, I'd stick with Samsung if I had no choice, but I'd not get a Flip phone again.

I got a Motorola Moto G8. It was horrible in every way apart from battery life. I’ve just changed back to an iPhone (SE) and it’s such a relief. I don’t ask a lot from a phone but the Moto seemed to object to doing basic phone like things properly.

Initially I switched to Samsung. Then later on the Chinese brands like Huawei and Oppo. You can get a cheap £50 phone from China and it does everything the expensive phones do but NFC. You can pay a bit more for NFC though. The camera is better than a Samsung phone too. I will never be ripped off by these expensive brands again.

Pixel 7 here. If you are out of contract why not just go onto a SIM only deal, or is there something wrong with the phone?

I've got a Samsung S20 FE. it's a couple of years old now, but great. I have no regrets about changing from an iPhone. I would definitely recommend Samsung.

I've had a Huawei pro 30 for years and I move it. Also have a Huawei watch.
