I feel a little lost in the world as I'm struggling more and more in the hearing world but don't fit until the Deaf community.

I have otosclerosis. Been slowly losing my hearing since my late teens and I'm nearly 40 now and have to wear aids to help but they certainly aren't a fix.

Hi 😊 there's a good thread for anyone who needs it in general health topic where we chat all things hearing related if you want to join?

I'm moderately deaf and don't / can't sign. I'm meant to wear hearing aids but I mainly rely on lipreading.

Contact your local council and ask if they have a department that deals with deaf/ blind people. My daughter does this for a living, she goes and assesses peoples needs and points them in the right direction.
