Whenever I hear the Fugees I go back to the early 90's in my older sister's bedroom playing old tunes.
Bone thugs and harmony does it for me too...

Loads. I'm 52 and am blessed with a long and strong memory so I can remember songs from 1972 well. One of my earliest memories is being in my pushchair and going up to the newly-built secondary school with my Mum. My three elder sisters were due to start there soon. 'Hold Your Head Up' by Argent always takes me back to that time. Whenever I hear 'Rock The Boat' by Hues Corporation and 'You Make Me Feel Brand New' by Stylistics, I'm transported back to our last family holiday in Bournemouth in 1974.

OP, I fairly well lost interest in the music charts in 1988 when I was 17. I guess I'm a fair bit older than you!

Anything by Fine Young Cannibals, Beautiful South or Skunk Anansie.

Heard 'Creep' by Radiohead the other day and suddenly was dying for a silk cut blue 😁

Actually I have so many songs that take me back to so many times I couldn't even name them. I love music and it has a real connection with my life. I heard Rihanna's umbrella this weekend and I had a strong memory of being pregnant on my first baby, and the endless rain that summer, i watched big brother after work every evening. A few hours ago tonight I heard Video killed the radio star and i remembered I had a mini pops tape with a cover of this. I desperately wanted to be in the Mini pops if anyone remembers them. That was just in last 48 hours, I have music nostalgia all the time, but I listen to chart music a lot and I guess it continues the cycle.

Oh I can so relate. I loved Rihanna's umbrella song. I'm very nostalgic about music too.

Oh you'd be surprised. I'm late 30's and my sister is older than you. When I have family gatherings with my aunts and older cousins we love a lot of 'old' music.
I'm a stickler for club classics and reggae too!
