Too old to learn the piano at 61?

My dad was a wonderful pianist/organist and when I was 5 till 9 I took piano lessons and passed 3 exams.
My lovely piano teacher developed dementia and I stopped lessons as she scared me.
I’ve not played since and seem to have lost all I learned!

My lovely dad passed away and yesterday I brought his Clavinova home with me 😢

The last time I played was on their baby grand and in his memory, I’d love to learn to play again.

Can anyone point me in the right direct regarding a simple book that may help me please.

Thank you x

Sorry about your dad.

Can you still read music?

Sorry to hear about your dad. It's never too late to learn. Don't have a particular book recommendation, just that teachers often love adult learners so might be best to find one and go from there.

I get the jist of reading music!

I never considered actual lessons!
I’ll have a look locally.
