Frustrating business hours

So frustrating. Im trying to buy something for my home. It costs approx £2k. Therefore I want to see it in real life first. Every showroom I have called have said "sorry only open Monday to Friday 9-5" (some even shorter hours!

We are constantly told, support the high st, shop local, don't just buy online. Some Businesses are not making that easy. I would be happy to come by appointment at the weekend or evening but just no!!!

Sounds like you need to take some off work to visit them then. I find ordering online very useful but obviously not if if I feel I need to see the item.

But I don't want to take time off work. I want to go at the weekend or evening, so the business has lost a big sale

Is it an independent retailer? I would suggest contacting them again, clearly stating what you have written here and asking for an 'out of hours' appointment. If they still refuse then quite honestly I wouldn't give them my business. I manage a very small local shop (& wouldn't sell anything like a product for £2k!) but would happily meet a customer at a mutually convenient time.
Poor customer service is shocking, and I agree .. no wonder no one wants to shop locally.

That's very much how I feel. If you want my business then you meet me half way! Surely it's not a big ask. I will simply just look for something else but it's annoying
